Gerber products Company Friday July 13 issued a voluntary call of Gerber ORGANIC Rice and Gerber ORGANIC Oatmeal 8 ounce cereals due to a potential choking hazard.
The recall came after the company received chocking complaints, but no reports of any injury. The Food and Drug Administration was said to be aware of this recall.
Gerber, a division of Novartis Consumer Health located in Florham Park, New Jersey, said a limited quantity of the products may contain lumps of cereal, which do not dissolve in water or milk, posing a potential choking hazard.
The recalled products include Gerber ORAGNIC Rice and ORGANIC Oatmeal Cereals sold in 8 ounces boxes. The products with all UPC codes, 15000 12504 for Gerber ORANIC Rice UPC Code, and 15000 12502 for Gerber ORAGNIC Oatmeal are subject to the recall.
Consumers who have the recalled Gerber ORGANIC Rice and ORGANIC Oatmeal Cereals should not use the product and call the Gerber Parents Resources Center at 18004437237 or 1-231-928-3000 to return the product and get a full refund.
